Lake Gosau “Laserer Alpin” Via Ferrata
Climbing with breath-taking glacier views
The "Lake Gosau Laserer Alpin via ferrata" is one of the most beautiful via ferratas in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut, because it always offers a breath-taking view of the majestic Dachstein glacier. Even the "journey" to this approximately 1-hour climbing tour with difficulty level C is not too long. It’s only about 15 minutes’ walk from the car park of the Gosaukamm cable car to the desired entry point. Incidentally, this is directly on the circular hiking trail around the Gosausee.
Rope Bridge & Eagle's Nest
The highlights of this circular tour, which takes you back to the starting point, include the Jacob’s ladder, the rope bridge, and also the "Eagle's Nest". For all those who would like to strengthen themselves after this incomparable tour, a visit to the ”Klackl-Alm” or the “Gasthof am Gosausee” is recommended. This makes the via ferrata on Lake Gosau a double experience.
Note for climbing enthusiasts
A printed folder with climbing routes in the Salzkammergut and a detailed route description is available at the four tourist offices of the UNESCO World Heritage Region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut. In addition, local outdoor providers also offer the option of booking an experienced guide for the "via ferrata experience". You can find the contact details for this under “Information at a glance” below.
