The bus terminal is located directly adjacent to the exit of the bypass tunnel of Hallstatt at the southern entrance of the village. This parking spot is only for drop off and pick up’s - there is no parking at the bus terminal for day trips.
After drop off, the coach must then head to the bus parking area, which is approximately 1.5 kilometers away in the direction of Obertraun. On request the coach driver can use the shuttle service from the bus parking spot to the bus terminal and again later on to return to his vehicle.
Parking for overnights guest / coaches
The bus terminal is located to the south, immediately after the exit of the Hallstatt bypass tunnel at the entrance to the town centre. After the guests have disembarked, the bus can be parked in one of the available parking spaces at the bus terminal until the departure of the group. The tour group must walk to the town centre, the transport of the group's luggage must be agreed with the accommodation provider. A fee is charged for the use of the bus terminal by groups staying overnight in Hallstatt.

Information for Tour buses
Since 1st of June 2020 all buses taking passengers to Hallstatt in the UNESCO World Heritage region Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut in the haert of Austria are required to book an entry/exit slot via a booking platform.
- Registration is required. After registration, an entry and exit slot is booked. The exit slot has to be at least 2:20 hours after entry.
- Payment for the booking is made by credit card.
- Upon registration and after payment, the tour operator receives a ticket with QR code for entry and exit at the bus terminal.
This ticket is checked at the entrance to the terminal.
Guests have 20 minutes to embark and disembark.
The bus driver receives a parking ticket for the P3 parking slot and has to leave the terminal after these 20 minutes. If desired, the bus driver will be taken to Hallstatt and back to the vehicle by our shuttle service. - Buses staying over night in Hallstatt are still exempt from the fee in 2022.
- School groups have to write an email to peb@hallstatt.ooe.gv.at, or have to press the contact button on the online platform, and are also exempt from fees.
