Rossmoos Trail in Bad Goisern

Experience this magnificent cross country ski trail at 1000 m above sea level. The trail passes through the delightful Rossmoosalm area. You will love it!
The moderately difficult Roosmoos Round is sign-posted in blue and begins by the upper car park at the Predigstuhl mountain inn. Then route is suitable for experienced skaters with a high level of fitness, but easy for diagonal skiers. There is a relatively steep section through the woods at the start of the trail, followed by some flat sections. You will then arrive at the first little mountain hut.
There now follows a gradual ascent past the first four huts on the Rossmoosalm. From here there are breath-taking views towards „König Dachstein“ and the Krippenstein. The trail now crosses the summer hiking trail to the Hütteneck where you will reach a small summit. Here you can enjoy views towards the Sarstein, the Raschberg and the Zwerchwand. Following a short descent you will reach the beautiful „Obermoos“ area. To your left you will be able to see the Predigstuhl.
After the next short ascent you will reach the highest hut on the Rossmoosalm. Continue past the „Jela-Hütte“, and after a 500 m long easy and clearly visible downhill section you will reach a crossroads. To your right is a display board showing all the cross country ski trails in the Panorama Nova area. Continue 1.5 km back to the start of the trail.
About half way there are two benches where, in the spring time, you can sit and relax There is an information board here, as well as stunning views across the entire UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut.
