Relaxation – directly on Lake Hallstatt
The place of happiness with the affectionate name " s'Goiserer Seeplatzl " is located almost in the middle of the ‘Ostuferwanderweg’ (East shore hiking trail), one of the most popular trails in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut. Once you've been there, you know why: The panoramic view over Lake Hallstatt - reminiscent of a fjord in Norway, the splashing water that transports you to the seaside and the locals on their traditional boats, the so-called “Plätten” or “Fuhren” remind you a little of the gondoliers in Venice. This place of happiness is a real good choice, as it combines pure joy of living with the desire for never-ending happiness.
Double the happiness
Also friends of the regional cuisine will get their moneys worth: The restaurant "Seeraunzn" spoils walkers, cyclists and hikers with a wide selection of tasty dishes and delicious desserts. For it is especially the fine cuisine on Lake Hallstatt that contributes significantly to the happiness of the guests. Double the happiness on your holiday in Austria.
Hiking tip in the World Heritage region
Hallstatt/Obertraun | East bank trail: along the lake of Hallstatt from Obersee to Obertraun, about 3 hours; around the Hallstätter Lake, about 3 hours!
Our tip: The "Goiserer Seeplatzl" can be reached in many ways: By foot along the ‘Ostuferwanderweg’ (East shore hiking trail) between Bad Goisern via Hallstatt to Obertraun, by bicycle or mountain bike over the partly parallel cycle path or with the "Goisern II" pleasure boat belonging to the ”Hallstättersee-Schifffahrt” – both the boat landing stage and train station “Obersee” are located nearby. Please note that the pleasure boat only runs during the summer months (June to September). Of course you can take the ferry from Hallstatt to the train station and back at any time. Whether in hiking boots, by bike or boat - whatever you choose, the "Goiserer Seeplatzl" place of happiness is always worth a visit to recharge your batteries.
