Circular hiking trail Zwieselalm Gosau
Hiking Pleasure with the Cable Car
The Zwieselalm in Gosau, high above Lake Gosau, is one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the Salzkammergut. The ascent is easy with the Gosaukamm cable car. The strenuous ascent is completed in just a few minutes using modern technology and the approximately two-hour hiking pleasure can begin.
Huts and Panoramic Views
From the mountain station of the Gosaukamm cable car, the well-signposted hiking trail no. 49 leads with gentle inclines to the Gablonzerhütte and Breininghütte, on to the Sonnenalm and up to the Zwieselalmhöhe, from where you can enjoy the fantastic 360° panoramic view of the Dachstein, the Gosaukamm and the Salzburger Land.
Rustic Mountain Rest Areas
From the Zwieselalmhöhe you hike comfortably on to the Zwieselalmhütte and return to the Gosaukammbahn mountain station via the Herrenweg (trail no. 611).
Walking in Circles
The circular hiking trail is well developed and is particularly popular with families. What's more, there are plenty of opportunities to stop off at mountain huts during the hiking season between May and October.
