Our idea of a family holiday
We want to give families the opportunity to consciously experience Offline in between.
Putting the mobile phone and tablet to one side, planning the day on the mountain together at the breakfast table, looking forward to the experiences and sitting together in the evening and getting out a board game or cards again - that's our idea of a family holiday at the Veitnhof. (Of course, we also offer free Wi-Fi if you wish.)
The private rooms at the Veitnhof offer cozy comfort and are ideal for families, as they are two adjoining rooms with a shared shower and toilet.
We, as your hosts, are on hand with tips for excursions and are happy to entertain you with interesting facts about the Gosau Valley, which is steeped in history.
Active holidays in summer and winter - right on the doorstep
In winter, cross the road and get straight onto the 40 km cross-country ski trail or walk five minutes on foot to the Hornspitzbahn, which takes you to the Dachstein West ski area with 160 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes. The bus stop for the free ski bus is also not far away.
In summer, you can join the panorama trail directly behind the house, from where you can explore the hiking routes through the beautiful Gosau Valley. If you want to conquer the trails on your bike, you can clean it and store it safely afterwards.
Have you ever meditated on the mountain pasture or bathed in the forest? This special nature experience is available on request at the Veitnhof in the summer months.
Guided fairytale hikes round off the family break and are also available on request in the summer months.

Arrival and departure
- Arrival: from 4.00 pm til 7.00 pm
- Departure: form 8.00 am til 10.00 am
- Left luggage by arrangement.
Cancellation
- In the event of a cancellation, the up-to-date version of the Austrian hotel contract conditions apply

- Please pay cash on arrival, as we do not have an electronic direct debit facility (no credit card payment possible!).

No Dogs/Pets at the Veitnhof!
In addition to the Wallner family with a toddler, dairy cows and horses, a free-range flock of chickens and two cat brothers live on the Veitnhof. The rooster sometimes chases away a fox when it comes near his girls and every sheepdog gets the short end of the stick with the two cats. For these reasons we have decided, for the sake of ALL and the peace of the farm, NOT to accommodate dogs with us and thank you for your understanding. ❤️
