Our APARTMENT 148 and our STUDIO 148 are located on the second floor, which further enhances the stunning view enjoyed by our guests from their rooms and balcony, while also removing them from the hustle and bustle below. As if you were alone, you look out over this unique landscape. You reach the entrance to the house on the first floor via a covered staircase, which is quite typical for Hallstatt. (Attention: not barrier-free!) From the entrance, you continue up convenient interior stairs to the second floor and arrive at the apartment and studio.

The house has been family-owned for generations and was renovated in 2024. In addition to an already existent ecologically compatible energy supply, our home now offers a sustainable heating supply as well. Furthermore, in designing our apartment and studio, we have invested in both sustainability and guest comfort so that you can enjoy all the amenities needed for an unforgettable stay. You can devote yourself to exploring the UNESCO World Heritage village, its world-famous sights and the World Heritage Region of Hallstatt-Dachstein/Salzkammergut without any worries.

The house is your perfect base for exploring all of the sights in Hallstatt on foot. Start your activities from here! Whether culture or sport, everything Hallstatt has to offer lies just outside your door. Since the house is located directly on the Seestraße (lake promenade), it takes only minutes to reach the village’s central market square, the Catholic church with its famous charnel house, the Protestant church, the funicular to the Salzwelten Hallstatt with the exhibition mine and breathtaking Skywalk as well as the boat dock where you can embark on a cruise across Lake Hallstatt. All of the attractions and sights of the UNESCO World Heritage Village can be enjoyed from this exceptional location without wasting any time. Numerous beautiful hikes can also be started directly from our house. With us, you’re in the centre of it all!

From Hallstatt, you can quickly reach numerous other destinations and sights, some of which are world-famous, by car or public transportation. Visit the neighbouring village of Obertraun with the cable car to the world-renowned Giant Ice Caves and the Krippenstein (2108 m), where the legendary “5fingers” viewing platform offers breathtaking views into the valley and over the mountains. Take a trip to the spa and imperial city of Bad Ischl, the 2024 European Capital of Culture, with its Imperial Villa and the beloved Zauner confectionery. There’s also the gorgeously situated lakes of the Salzkammergut such as the Traunsee, Attersee and Wolfgangsee. From St. Wolfgang, the Schafberg Railway brings visitors to the panorama views from the 1783-metre summit of the Schafberg Mountain. Finally, the Mozart and festival city of Salzburg beckons guests with its Getreidegasse shopping street, Archbishop’s residence and the Hohensalzburg Fortress. In winter, the nearby ski resorts of Dachstein-West in Gosau and the Freesports Arena Dachstein-Krippenstein in Obertraun are worth a visit, while numerous additional world-famous ski resorts lie within a 90-minute radius. On the Krippenstein, you also have the opportunity to partake in a snowshoe hike or a ski tour.

If you plan to arrive by car: direct access to the house by car is not possible, and there is no parking available at the house. Please use the public parking garage "P1". From there is a shuttle for guests with luggage offered which brings you directly to our house. The shuttle operates from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. On departure day, the shuttle can also be arranged for transportation back to the parking garage. Use of the shuttle is included in a ‘hotel ticket’ which is to be purchased from the parking ticket machine upon arrival; minor waiting times may occur. For departures, we can reserve the shuttle for you in advance. Furthermore, you can walk from the public parking garage to the MAVIJOLU Lakeside Suites Hallstatt in just about ten minutes.

Above all, we recommend travelling by public transportation, since Hallstatt is especially easy and convenient to reach. The arrival by train at the Hallstatt train station on the opposite side of the lake is its own special attraction. From the train station, you cross Lake Hallstatt by ship and then walk to the MAVIJOLU Lakeside Suites Hallstatt, thereby experiencing your first impressions of this very special village. From the boat dock, it is about 10 minutes’ walk along flat and low-traffic streets to our house. But Hallstatt is also easily accessible by bus – the next bus station is only 3 minutes away.

In the immediate vicinity of the MAVIJOLU Lakeside Suites Hallstatt, you will find numerous restaurants, cafés, snack stands as well as grocery shops and a bakery. In addition, there are several shops selling regional products and specialties such as salt and souvenirs. There is also a well-stocked sports shop in the village. There is also a tourist information office in Hallstatt which can answer any questions you may have. On the ground floor of the house, there is a cash dispenser (ATM).
