From the Gablonzer Hütte to the Stuhlalm or Theodor Körner Hütte ( 1 3/4 hours)
The hike begins with the rail number 611 in direction southwest up to the northeastern Törlecksattel at an altitude of 1599m, and then flat over to the southwestern Törlecksattel, 1576m altitude. Here we hike at the trail to the Schefferbergwald and slightly up and down. Crossing the hillsides of the Donnerkogl into the Sulzkar.
We now go down to the Stuhlalm at an altitude of 1462m, here we have an unique view to the Bischofsmütze. The Theodor Körner Hütte which belongs to the alpine association is situated in the forest!
From the Stuhlalm or the Theodor Körner Hütte to the Hofpürglhütte (2 1/2 hours)
Over the alpine pastures downwards into the big Kar also called Stuhlloch.
Now we continue on the right side upwards in direction "Durchgang" it was destroyed in 2012 and thats why a new trail has been made through a field of mountain pine into a rock pipe. From there we continue up to the Jöchl, 1601m.
The Austriatrail goes in direction south and southeast and around the Leckkogl where we have a perfect view on the mighty Torstein. Shortly afterwards we reach the Hofpürglhütte.
Many prominent figures have explored this region: nobles like Archduke Johann and Empress Elisabeth, scientists such as Friedrich Simony, poets and authors like Nikolaus Lenau, painters like Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, musicians and composers such as Johannes Brahms. Did they ever think that hiking in the Salzkammergut might have no end? That they could tramp from one lake to the next and then onward to yet another? Day by day along the shores of crystal-clear waters? Week-long excursions through quiet valley forests, over sunny alpine meadows and up mountains fuelled by the anticipation of the next destination?
