Welcome o Gosau
Our very traditional house with 50 beds is situated in the heart of Gosau, which is 13 km away from the world heritage site Hallstatt. Nearby our hotel are banks, a doctor, restaurants and shops! Because of its raised situation, the Brandwirt gives you a gorgeous view to the Gosaukamm and the whole Gosautal! Even in the 17th century every traveller was gladly welcome in the so called "Faschl". Our house has only 50 beds, so you can enjoy the familiaire and calm atmosphere, which is important for a nice holiday! The rooms have a space of approximately 20 and 37qm - most of them have a balkony, too. Seperate bath room, WC and flat-TV are also in the rooms. The "nostalgic rooms" are a little bit bigger and furnished with autenthic "Zirbenmöbel".
In Gosau you find everthing what you expect from your holiday in the alps. The absolutely defogged situation underneath the Dachstein is pure nature in every season between 700 and 3.000 meters. The Brandwirt, one of the most traditional houses of Gosau will treat you well with the most splendid view to the Gosaukamm and home-style cooking and traditional dishes from the kitchen and cellar. Wheter you visit us as a single person, as a couple, as family or group - here in our house we welcome you with honestly friendlyness...
Now the Brandwirt is a traditional restaurant and hotel, in which we will coddle you with our legendary "Schweinsbraten mit Semmelknödel, Saft und Krautsalat". You can also visit Bad Ischl, Hallstatt or Salzburg - Gosau is not far away of these sightseeing places... We are glad to welcome you in our beautiful Gosau valley!
